Our client is a German fast-growing online furniture label designer, constantly providing their online platform clients with innovative design ideas through their growing network of interior designers.  Our client manufactures their designs throughout handpicked quality factories worldwide and they market their products via their online store. Their product designs are cutting-edge innovative, stepping away from all times boring and mass-produced designs, and, thanks to avoiding warehousing cost, they are able to operate at unbeatable prices, passing these savings to their valuable growing number of clients.    

On their behalf we are currently searching for: Java Software Developer     

The role:    

Design and implementation of Java applications based on state-of-the-art frameworks and technologies (e.g. Lucene, Hibernate, Axis2, Spring)  
Processing of XML content (XSLT, PDF creation, or other document types)  
Extension and test of existing Java applications  
Evaluation of projects and preparation of effort estimates  
Evaluation of new technologies / frameworks  
Maintenance of quality standards through a structured project approach and modern development methods   

Who we are looking for:   

Fluent English in writing and speaking (German is a big advantage)
At least 3 years of experience as a software developer
Degree in computer science, successful studies or training in software development
Excellent knowledge of OOP and Java
Good teamwork and problem-solving skills
Experience in the following areas is a plus: Enterprise Service Bus expertise (e.g. Talend), Business processes in e-commerce and process automation, XML processing: DTD, schemas, XSLT Web: JSP's, HTML, JavaScript (JS frameworks) Application & Web Server (Apache, Tomcat, Jetty)
Experience dealing with databases (for example MySQL)  

We offer:   

Starting salary from € 40,000 - € 55,000 depending on profile and experience
Performance bonuses up to 5,500€
