Job summary 

The Red Hat Engineering team is looking for a skilled Software Engineering Intern to join our team in Brno, Czech Republic. In this role, you'll help with the development and quality assurance of our open source products, as well as provide support for our internal systems. To succeed in this role, we'll need you to have development skills in C, C++, Perl, Python, Java, Ruby, and Bash. This internship is a great opportunity to gain real-world experience, and help create the next generation of tools for Red Hat.

Primary job responsibilities 

Create and implement technical products and systems
Develop and run software programming for various Red Hat products and Red Hat-supported open source communities
Follow standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data

Required skills 

Interest in open source software and development 
Intermediate knowledge of Linux and programming languages like C, C++, Perl, Python, Java, Ruby, or Bash
Ability to work as part of a dynamic team, while demonstrating flexibility and initiative
Basic English communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to work in Red Hat’s Brno office on a regular basis
Must be an official full-time student in the Czech Republic
