We are looking for several Ops Engineers to join our teams. Their mission is protect, provide for, and progress the software and systems behind Zonky by writing code and building systems to improve performance and operational efficiency.
Who we are looking for?
The successful candidates should be enthusiastic professionals who are deeply interested in cutting edge technologies and are able to learn new things quickly.
Your job will be to
- take care of the back-end part of our Zonky application (web servers, database servers, load balancers, proxy servers, messaging servers, etc.)
- design, develop and maintain configuration and tooling
- ensure integration with underlying cloud platform and with logging, monitoring and alerting systems
- meet high availability and performance goals according to our SLA
- maintain and contribute to improvement of security measures
You should have
- 2 years work experience as operations engineer
- good knowledge of Linux operating system administration, troubleshooting and fine-tuning
- good knowledge of shell scripting
- knowledge of TCP/IP based computer networks and common internet protocols
- no problem to participate in 24x7 on-call support
It is nice if you have
- knowledge of JVM and some Java web server / servlet container (e.g. Apache Tomcat)
- experience with configuration management tools (Ansible/Salt) and Git
- experience with cloud computing (AWS)
